Mini Research Project

My question was "Who is better Michael Jackson or Prince?". When I interviewed my classmates 4 of them said Michael Jackson and 1 said Prince. Lavaughn and Shante said "He dances better and sings better too." Erica and Marcus opinionated " He keeps it real and dances better." Lastly Steven emphasized that "Prince is way better because he sings better." In conclusion most people say that  Michael Jackson is better than prince because he sings and dance better than Prince.

Election of 2008

"This years election was really apart of history." That is what everyone says. To me I say it is apart of history but it is a real good thing that happened. Barack Obama, the president of the United States of America, is a real african american and he actually made it as a president.  He is the first president of America. He was only just seven when the first candidate tried to become president and did not make it. Yet he tried and won the presidency.

Animal Farm Essay

Although animal Farm appears to be a simple story of animals, it is actually a satire of the Russian society. In this book animals overthrew humans o take over their farm. George Orwell, a British author, who wrote this in favor of how idiotic the Russians with their ruler, Stalin. This book was written after the Russian Revolution. This was written in favor of benefits and advantages of series. Also to show how powerful stories can be. In Animal Farm, the pigs use stories and they are inspiring others, empowering themselves, and to oppress other animals on the farm.

First the pigs use stories to inspire others. One way they inspired the animals was the speech from Old Major. They all sang a song called "Beasts of England". Old Major said "Almost overnight we could become rich and free." They also progressed a windmill. Snowball and the other animals made a windmills to produce electricity. Snowball and the other animals made a windmill but it gets knocked down by Old Major and his crew. After all it successfully got made again it gace electricity and helped them out. The story of the rebellion. All the animals attacked the humans. Most of the animals were fine, but Snowbal the pig got hurt from old major. After all of the story, these are the inspiring stories from the animals from "Animal Farm."

The pigs use stories to empower themselves. From the rule of sleeping in bed. First the commandment was no animal shall sleep in bed. Now the animals changed it to no animal shall sleep in a bed without sheets. The milks and apples were empowering. They took the milk and apples from the others and told them they needed it. " You do not imagine, I hope, that we pigs are doing this to selfishness and privilege. Many of us actually dislike milk and apples. Milk and apples contain the substances of a well being pig. We pigs are the brain workers." Napoleon, the pig, made eggs with the hens an empowering situation. Squealer and Napoleon made the hens lay about 400 eggs a week. These stories really show how the pigs empower themselves.
The pigs used stories to oppress the animals. Taking away the meetings away on Sundays; the decision made my Napoleon. He took the meetings away because it was just too much time wasted from working time. The slaughtering process is an oppressing situation. They told the other animals about what they did and they would get slaughtered. For we at this moment the equality between them animals. The commandments are a show of oppresstion. Their were first 7 commandment for the animals to go by. Their are only 1 commandment at the end. Napoleon and Squealer changed it. Now it is " All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others". Those are they was the animals were lying to oppress.

In George Orwells satire if the Russians, the pigs tell lies to get what they want. First they use stories to inspire. Second they use stories to get power for themselves. Third they use stories to take power away from others. It could happen again because you need to be aware of the power and your surroundings.

Third Annotation

From the website of: http://www.nathanielturner.com/educationhistorynegro29.htm

This is what i did for my second annotation....read this article.

Martha Lum was classified with the nergo, and the brown, yellow, and black races, on the other, and therefore that Martha Lum, of the Mongolian or yellow race, could not insist on being classed with the whites [Ed.'s italics] under this constitutional division. From the court, they said no separate public schools for Mongolians [Ed.'s italics], she is entitled to enter the white public schools in preference to the colored public schools. Had the petition alleged specifically that there was no colored school in Martha Lum's neighborhood to which she could conveniently go, a different question would have been presented, and this, without regard to the state Supreme Court's construction of the state Constitution as limiting the white schools provided for the education of children of the white or Caucasian race. But we do not find the petition to present such a situation.

Summary of this paragraph:

Well this paragraph is about Martha Lum's school that she will be attending to. They gave Martha the right to go to a white schol and their were none in her neighborhood. So they told her she had to attend a "colored" school. This is what this little section of this article is about. The article is very interesting and it grabs my attention and it should grab yours also.

Second Annotation

Gong Lum was Martha Lum father and he really did not like what happened to his daughter. Gong Lum is resident of Mississippi, resides in the Rosedale consolidated high school district, and is the father of Martha Lum. So he wanted this to become a case at the court. This case was called the "Gong Lum vs Rice" was a success and it went to the court. Chief justice Taft noted "(h)ad the petitioner alleged specifically that there was no colored school in Martha Lum's neighborhood a different question would have been presented."

My issue is Abortion. Obama says that abortion, he leaves it up to the woman that has this. I say this would be correct because they are the right way. Candidate McCain says that abortion should be the right to women just like Obama. This is the issue that i choose because i am a girl that had problems but never ad to deal with that issue. My family members had to do with abortion.

The Obama part of the election

The issues that I choose for Obama's  part of the election is education. This is that people are really no able to lean. I say this because in some countries people do not have enough money to help people and the schools do not have enough money to supply every child.
